NOLLEIG MHATH PARTY

That’s “MERRY CHRISTMAS” to those of us who are unenlightened. To kick off the holiday party season in a big way, join us for the Scottish Society’s annual CHRISTMAS PARTY, which will be held on Monday, 13 December, at

St. Luke Lutheran Church
2000 North Germantown Parkway

This is the same location where the ceilidh was held. This time however, you get the royal treatment by entering through the center doors.

The doors open at 6:30 pm and the eating begins at 7:00. The party will be held on the same night as our normal monthly meeting, so if you show up at Jason’s Deli, you will miss out on all the goodies.

There are several really good things about this year’s party:

  • First and foremost, it is FREE! – That should ensure maximum attendance by us Scots!
  • Second, there will be lots of really good music, including the “Reel McCoy” and our own Chorale.
  • Third, you don’t even have to provide any complicated food dishes. This is a catered affair, compliments of your Society.

Well, that’s not quite true. We ask that each family bring four (4) dozen cookies, preferably home-baked. Three dozen are to share and eat at the party, and the fourth dozen is to be donated to the St. Peters Home through St. Luke. Please wrap the dozen cookies for donation in a separate tin or on a firm disposable plate for distribution.

Finally, The Marine Corps League will be taking up donations for their annual “Toys for Tots” campaign. If you wish to help out this worthy cause, they ask that you bring only new toys, preferably in their original packaging. Do not gift wrap them as the Marines have to see what they are to match them to the recipients’ wish lists. Frank Trafford has graciously agreed to be the go-to guy for this. We’ll see you there.

Nolleigh Mhath!
